Whales and more...
whale calf Native Trails invites you to join us on an adventure to the lands and waters of Baja California. January to March is the peak whale watching season in this wondrous land.
We begin in La Paz, the capital of Baja Sur. From here we head north to visit the bays favored for ages by the California Gray Whale, Bahia Magdalena, Laguna Ojo Liebre (Scammon's Lagoon) and Laguna San Ignacio (optional). Baja is a narrow peninsula and on our journey we cross it three times each way. Twice just between La Paz and Loreto but the landscape is so different each time across there is always something new to see.
Our final stop in Baja is Land's End, the most southern point of land connected to the peninsula. Back to La Paz for your flight home or an optional night at La Concha. From beaches to mountains and desert to oasis, Baja California Sur is truly a land of many wonders and delights.
Have a little extra time? Choose to continue on with the Copper Canyons segment. We recommend enjoying both....link to Whales and Canyons Tour.
