Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed the tour to Copper Canyon from November 11 to the 17th which you put together for us.
We had a wonderful time. Benjamin in El Fuerte was terrific and a great help. The Hotel La Choza was wonderful. We would love to stay there again some day. The Hotel Mision in Ceracahui was lovely, and we even enjoyed heating the room with the wood stove.
All in all the trip was a huge success, and we hope to do it again one day with your help. The next time we would also like to spend some time in Divisadero. The 15 minute train stop there only allowed a quick look at the canyon and some quick pictures. It did save us money we didn't have time to spend at the souvenir stands.
Everything worked out great. We must admit we had some reservations as we had never booked a tour or taken one and always made our own reservations. We don't think we could have done as well as you did.
Thanks again,
Gisela Seay, Donald Seay, Klaus Ehrhard

Subject: Trip Report - Burrows
Hi Rick,
I hope that by now the missing payment has surfaced. But if not, Jan will be home later this week after several days in HI and will contact you then.
The trip was a great success. Only good things to report.
El Fuerte Hotel was a favorite not only because of its gay, over the top decor, but also the personnel there. The ladies behind the desk were muy sympatico - put 3 of the group in a huge suite that just about "made" their trip. Gentleman who served dinner was so helpful. Even served us our own wine one night. Some of the best food on the trip. Bought his wine another time. Benjamin was Johnny on the spot, and a nice young man.
We got the more private annex at the Posada Mirador which was great.
Sierra Lodge was another friendly, up-beat place. Roberto was a nice host. The kerosine lamps were a hit.
Ce`sar, who drove us to Batopilas, was a jewel. We would have liked to have adopted him. Carolina's restaurant was so tasty.
Liked Real de Minas. Comfortable and cool. But we were blown away by Riverside Lodge and its ambience. Next time.
Paraiso del Oso has the greatest horses - just as Diego says. He was not around much - had 3 back to back treks - but we had Mira, a German girl from Berne, who was volunteering for a few weeks - went riding and hiking with us.
Diego had offered to substitute a van trip down to Urique for the Cerro Gallegos horse/van trip we had scheduled. He said it would be 5 hrs. in the saddle - which was too long for us. We declined the long drive down to Urique, as we had just spent so much time cooped up in the van to/from Batopilas and on the train. A van trip to Cerro Gallegos and a horse ride the day before made up for the pre-paid trip. Glad he was flexible.
The only hitch in the whole journey was not getting dinner at El Fuerte the night we arrived on the 18th. We ate a nice meal at "The General's" and fell into bed. The receptionist said she had talked to you and you would be refunding that bit.
Many thanks for a really special journey that will be remembered by 7 women from all over the world. ( Next year we are heading to New Zealand - 2007 it's the Siberian Express.)
Cheers, Carol Burrows

Dear Rick,
Sherrill and I want to thank you for providing us with one of the very best vacations we've ever had. The accommodations, food and transfers all worked out perfect. Benjamin, in El Fuerte was a great help and made us feel very welcomed. I'd recommend you to anyone considering going to the Copper Canyon.
Thank you,
Marilyn DeJarnette

Rick
Just wanted to tell you how much my wife and I enjoyed the Copper Canyon and Baja trip that you arranged for us to take in April. You already know how great the scenery is in those places so I don't need to tell you about that. However, I do especially want to thank you and the fine people you arranged to look after us at our different stops along the way. From Robert in El Paso to Eduardo and Jesus in Chihuahua, to Benjamin in El Fuerte, to Orloff in La Paz, we were very well cared for and in a very kind manner! The tours, by Eduardo (city tour), Benjamin (Rio Fuerte) and Orloff (La Paz to Land's End) were especially enjoyable. Louise and I were the only couple on these tours, so it really gave us a chance to ask questions and talk with our guides. It was all done in such a friendly, yet efficient way! Please convey our thanks to these people!
Of course the hotel accommodations that you arranged for us were excellent too. At every stop, the staff were 100% helpful and friendly! Even when there were problems {e.g:- Chihuahua (Thanks Jesus for helping fix the train ticket problem, and thanks Holiday Inn staff for helping us find our guide on our return trip)} we were soon reassured that everything would work out properly, and indeed it did!
We have so many good memories I can't even start to list them here. Instead, I'll just attach a couple of photos from our trip. That sunset at La Paz was gorgeous - the photo hardly does it justice!
Again, many thanks to you all, and needless to say, whenever we meet someone interested in a Copper Canyon or Baja trip, we will recommend you to them most enthusiastically!
Louise and Bill Scott

Aside from the night in Batopilas where we had to stay in another hotel, four days of rain, and the Chepe being constantly very late, most of trip was great. All of us enjoyed it...
Best, Steve Livingston

Subject: Recapping our trip
Hi Rick,
We've been home for nearly a month and are still raving about our trip through Copper Canyon! Everything that you helped us plan went seamlessly, and we thank you for that. I can't think of one thing that we would have changed. Every one of the folks that you lined up for us was efficient, cordial and very helpful. As you may remember, we stayed in the Hampton Inn in Chihuahua, and found it to be one of the best run Hampton Inns we have stayed in. We loved Chihuahua and enjoyed sight-seeing during our time there. BTW, if you haven't discovered Maria Chuchena Restaurant, you're missing some very good food. It is right behind the Hampton Inn and is a lovely, upscale Mexican restaurant. We ate there several times and were never disappointed.
Warm regards,
Bea Delpapa
