Link to Rancho del Oso (Copper Canyon horse ranch)
Deep in the Sierra Madres lies Copper Canyons country, some 450 miles south of the US-MX border. Rancho del Oso horse ranch is dedicated to offer horse enthusiast and trekkers of all skill levels a wilderness experience of a lifetime.
Owner Doug "Diego" Rhodes along with his wife, Ana Maria, extend an invitation to all, from beginner to expert. Their mountain lodge, Hotel Paraiso del Oso, offers a comfortable base for their guest to fully enjoy this wilderness experience. For overnight rides or hikes that take you deep into the Sierras and Canyons, the ranch provides all the equipment, from tents to wrangler, pack animal and bilingual guide. Just bring your sleeping bag, yourself and your personal stuff.
Public access to the ranch and hotel via the famous Copper Canyon train, adds to the uniqueness of these adventures. Come explore a land that has changed little from the time the Spanish Conquistadors first crossed this rugged vastness.
Note: Custom trans-canyon crossing hikes and rides are also available. Call for details.
