About our company...

Since 1995, Native Trails has been offering exceptional group and individual travel through some of the world's natural wonders.
We began by featuring the Southwest USA, Mexico and the Mayan World and now we also include Western and Central Europe. Our travel programs are designed so that our guests can fully experience there destination.
We handle small groups and independent travelers from North America and Europe, focusing on alternative destinations and concentrating on nature and its beauty. Local culture, of course, is always an important part of our tour design. The Southwest United States, Mexico and Guatemala are all rich with pre-Columbian and Colonial Spanish history and a people who have held strong to their ancestral traditions. Our European destinations likewise hold strong to centuries old traditions and customs with natural beauty that has inspired the beholder through the ages. Our goal as always is to blend nature and local culture in a way so that our guests depart feeling a bit more enriched than when they arrived.
We prefer to keep group size small, around 14 to 24 guests, because of where we visit and our philosophy of low-impact intrusion on nature and/or the native people. This also lets our guests meet some of our friends who live in the places we visit. Many times our friends receive us in there homes or studios in the case of our artisan friends.

It all began with our "Wild Tarantula" tour in 1994 through the Southwest USA and Copper Canyons Mexico. That next year we travelled about 3000 miles in Baja California before we felt comfortable enough to include the peninsula in our programs. Since then our knowledge and experience in these regions has allowed us to offer our guests exceptional service. In an effort to assure this standard of service, we have local representatives dedicated to assist our guests on their journey through the Copper Canyons and Baja.
Following the trails further south, through our affiliate office in Mexico City, we have established strong working relationships in Central and Southern Mexico, including the entire Mayan World. This allows us to offer our same high standard of service for our travel programs to these regions.
Now we followed the natural course of development to include the native trails of our European partners. We reached across the Atlantic to our European office near Frankfurt and now include in our programs the splendid wonders off the beaten track in selected regions of Western and Central Europe.
From the begining to the present we have strived to provide quality service and customer satisfaction. Our reputation brought us some of the largest travel companies of Europe, the USA and Mexico as clients. And customer recommendations has brought us some of the nicest individuals as clients too.
